You can't defeat your demons if...
You can't defeat your demons if you still enjoy their company. I recently saw this phrase posted online. It leads me to ask a couple of questions.
1. Why do we enjoy the "demons" company? What is the vice offering?
2. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
3. If you want to stop enjoying the company of your demons, start spending more time with the one who truly loves you, desires the best for you, is the true comforter, won't slam you with shame, guilt, or condemnation, but will lovingly lead you out.
4. Who's company are you enjoying today?
May Jesus woo you and draw you deeper unto Himself. May you enjoy his company and may His company transform bad character into Godly character.
Jeremiah 31:3 - “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness."
Romans 8:1 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus said it was finished on the cross and he rose overcoming sin and death for those who believe.
